Acne can happen to anyone. It shows up primarily in the face and can cause embarrassment and even avoidance of going out in public. Some people only experience light, occasional break-outs. Unfortunately for others, this problem can go on for years and requires treatment. There are several choices when it comes to healing yours. A dermatologist is recommended for severe or frequent blemishes. Natural Acne Treatment is the ideal remedy for milder cases.

Natural Acne treatment is simple. Changing your diet or taking herbs and vitamins to cleanse and provide additional nutrition could be enough to clear your skin up.

You should eliminate sugars, oils, and fats from your diet as much as possible. They are not part of a good balanced diet and are all unhealthy to begin with. Drinking water instead of sugary soda and eating a vegetable snack instead of you usual chips is not a difficult change to make. The healthier you are overall will reflect the health of your skin.

It has been debated that diet has no effect on acne. Diet alone is not a suitable natural acne treatment. However, modifying your diet in addition to taking certain vitamins can clear up your skin.

Taking certain vitamins is a great natural acne treatment used by many people. Zinc can prevent acne from ever occurring. It also heals existing blemishes. Vitamin A in low doses reduces the production of your skin’s natural oil, called sebum. Certain herbal blends can also help to benefit your body and your skin.

The advantages to natural acne treatment are that you avoid ever having to see a dermatologist, your body will benefit from healthier eating, and you are not exposing your skin to harsh chemicals. Visiting a dermatologist to take care of your acne can get expensive. It usually requires many follow-up visits and paying for prescriptions. This can also be time consuming and overall just not worth it if your acne is not severe enough to actually require it. Not consuming greasy foods will keep your system clean, which is beneficial to your overall health as well as your skin. Typical acne medicines contain ingredients that can cause your skin to be sensitive to sunlight or even worsen your condition.

Modifying your diet and taking vitamins are not the only options that you have as natural acne treatment. You could suffer from stress-induced acne. Ways to reduce stress in your life can differ from person to person because everyone gets stressed out by different things. Exercising and getting plenty of rest could help to calm the stress in your life. Perhaps taking a walk or practicing yoga would help you to relax and clear your mind to be stress-free. A life without stress could be a life without suffering from acne. Natural treatment may not be the answer to your acne, depending on the cause of it. Experimenting is an easy and painless method to try, and it could save you a lot of money if it is right for you.

Laser acne treatment has been used to eliminate scars resulting from acne as well as a method to clear up existing acne. Scars are common in people who have suffered from severe or cystic acne in the past. Acne scars are difficult to treat and this often results in unhappiness if a scar treatment fails. Laser acne treatment has become increasingly popular as dermatologists have worked toward advancement.

There has been controversy over the safety and effectiveness of this procedure as used to clear up existing acne. It is still a fairly new procedure so long-term negative effects have not been determined. It does benefit people who do not want to risk prolonged use of antibiotics for their acne. For some people, laser acne treatment does not work as desired. In others, it has been a great success. The technique involves the application of a yellow light to destroy acne causing bacteria. The light works with a substance in the bacteria to create the oxygen your skin needs. A laser has also proven to increase the growth of natural collagen to prevent scars from forming. A V-beam is a laser that is designed to lower the appearance of redness in acne or its remaining scars.

Laser resurfacing of the skin is performed after the scars are present. This is usually done for people who have endured severe cystic acne in the past. Cystic acne will often rupture or burst and result in permanent scarring. This is because this type of acne starts from deep below the surface of the skin. Laser acne treatment for scars is expensive and sometimes requires more than one treatment. The actual procedure entails the application of topical anesthetic and then a laser vaporizing the layers of damaged skin. This allows for new cells to form so smoother, younger-looking skin can appear. However, in some cases, it caused the skin pigment to decrease and make the face appear much lighter than the rest of the body.

The advantages of laser acne treatment for scars is that it is easier to be control the depth of treatment than most other treatments. Some people undergoing this procedure only have surface scars and do not require deep treatment to fix. Other people have very deep scars and need a deeper laser penetration. Laser acne treatment is the most successful way to treat your scars uniquely.

The recovery period for laser acne treatment all depends on the amount of treatment you required. Most people will experience swelling and some redness. The swelling usually goes away a lot faster than the redness, which can last for weeks after the treatment. Commonly, your doctor will also give you a topical ointment to apply to your skin following the laser treatment.

An additional advantage to laser treatment on acne is that it could smooth wrinkles. You could get the effect of expensive Botox injections as a side effect to getting rid of the appearance of acne scars. The reason is because the laser increases the production of collagen in your face. So while you get clear skin, you are also getting a rejuvenated and younger effect as well.

Brushing your skin with a brush or cloth is an excellent way to improve the appearance of your skin. If you have acne, this brushing will help to eliminate toxins through the skin and reduce the toxins that accumulate in your acne.

Brushing your skin while dry and just before taking a shower is a way to stimulate the flow of liquid through lymphatic system and increase the circulating of blood. It also has other benefits:

* Removes and brushes away dry dead cells that can clog your skin

* Opens pores to allow you to excrete more toxins safely

* Activates the nerves near the top of your skin, making your skin work better

* It stimulates the tiny blood vessels near your skin and brings more nutrients and acid neutralizing minerals to your skin

* Improves your overall health since the skin must eliminate close to 2 pounds of waste through your pores.

If you practice dry or wet brushing your skin, you will see improved beauty and health in your skin.

You can also scrub your skin during your shower and this is the way I like to do it.

There are two different types of brushes that are designed for dry skin brushing.

* A natural bristle brush

* Loofah with a long handle

When you start bushing for the first time, do it softly and gentle until your skin gets use to the rough feeling. If you have not been brushing and scrubbing your skin, then you may have some side effects caused by stirring up toxins. Because skin brushing promotes release of toxins through the skin, you want to make sure you are not constipated, otherwise you will start to release to many toxins through the skin.

A word of caution: Brush only once a day and do not brush too hard. Excessive brushing over stimulates the skin and can produce unwanted side effects.

But, here is how to dry brush your skin before you take a shower,

* Start with gentle light touch circular motions at your face. If you have severe acne do this gently massage with a clean hot face towel and do not brush your face.

* Always brush only in the direction of your heart. From the feet upward, brush up toward the heart. At the neck, brush downward toward the heart.

After you finishing brushing, about 5 minutes, take a shower to remove the dead and old skin.

What I do is use a loofa in the shower with soap and brush my skin as described above. It is a gentler way to brush your skin and you wash away the skin derby at the same time. Brushing your body decreases the amount of toxins that reach your face and can help you get rid of or prevent acne.

One very common types of acne are blackheads. Blackheads are considered "open comedones", and whiteheads are "closed comedones". These usually show up primarily on the nose, chin or forehead but can also be on other parts of the face. Either can cause your skin to be undesirably rough and bumpy.

Blackheads are one of the few types of acne that may be caused by skin hygiene and will never go away on their own. Cleaning your face regularly will prevent most blackheads altogether. They are caused by follicles that have a wider opening than normal. These openings fill with oil and dead cells that have undergone a chemical reaction that caused the oxidation of melanin, which causes the black coloration. To prevent them from forming, it is necessary to consistently wash your face twice a day with a mild soap or face scrub to get rid of the excess oil and dead cells.

The most commonly used treatment is called tretonoin, and can be found in medicines called Retin-A, and Avita. It is derived from Vitamin A and works by increasing the cell turnover and un-sticking the sloughed cells. This causes the plugged material to be removed so that the skin can heal. The downside to this medicine is that it can be irritating to most people’s skin. Another method of extrusion of a blackhead is done by a doctor. They have a tool called a "comedone extractor" that clears them one at a time so that it can heal.

Home remedies have also been experimented with to get rid of blackheads. These are not proven, as they are not tested by any professional doctor. However, if any of them work on your skin, then you have found a cheap and easy way to clear up your skin on your own.

Try warming honey and applying it to the spots that you have. Wash it off with warm water after 15 minutes.

Use an oatmeal mask. Mix oatmeal and rose water into a soft, spreadable paste, and then gently massage onto your skin. Leave it until it is completely dried for 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water.

Dilute lemon juice and apply at least 3 times a day to the affected area. Repeat everyday until they completely disappear.

Squeezing blackheads, just as with any acne, is not recommended because it can make the problem worse. However, if you choose to use a blackhead remover at home, you should open your pores first. This can be done by taking a hot shower and letting the steam open your pores. You could also pat your face with a hot towel or hang your head over a pot of boiled water. Be cautious because there is a chance that doing this wrong will result in a bad steam burn..

Your thoughts have a lot to do with why you have acne. Most people will not even give this idea a single thought. You can get rid of acne without changing your way of thinking, but your thoughts will create some other illness that you might not see.

Most illnesses begin with the way you think, the way you are, or your basic philosophy. Your thoughts create chemicals that flow into your blood and affect the function of your entire body.

So if you have acne, it was created by the way you think. If you have ulcers, heart problems, or anything else, these were created by the way you think. Your thinking prevents you from eating and doing the things that you need to do to have good health or clear clean skin.

If you have acne or any disease, it is an opportunity for you to stop and think about why you have it. Acne is an expression of your thinking. Everything about you – the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you dress, that way you eat, the diseases you come down with, the way you do everything – originates in your thought process.

Here is one place to start your self-examination.

Start by being more accepting of yourself. What I have learned in the past is that no matter how much you put yourself down or how critical you are of yourself, it will not change the world around you. The world and you are still the same.

So, just get over it. Stop fighting who you are.

Accept yourself as you are and get on with the purpose of your life. Just get on with it. Don’t worry about what other people are thinking and doing. That’s their problem not yours.

You need to learn how to “face yourself.” When you have acne you may not want to look at yourself and “face who you are?”

If you have acne, there is always some underlying emotions and feelings that are being expressed by your acne. Look into yourself and try to see what you are saying with your acne.

If you cannot find it, see if you can relate it to constipation. Constipation and a toxic colon is typically the cause of acne. But to go one-step further, all physical illness are created by some emotional unbalance that you are holding onto.

Acne can be a representation of repressed traumas that you have experienced as a child when you were growing up. I know you may not want to hear this. But, Acne can be an expression of those traumas trying to burst out of the repressive mechanisms that your body creates to prevent you from facing these traumas until you are ready to do so.

Some effort has to be make to connect and release these traumas, otherwise as you clear your face these traumas can move to some other parts of your body where they will be unseen and destroy tissue and body functions.

If you have a negative thought, ask yourself this question, “does this thought or idea help me or others become a better person?” If not, then let go of this thought and move on to a better thought and a better place in your life.

Good Luck To You

Follow the 12 steps for getting rid of acne and you will get results. Follow these steps and your face will clear and become smooth and lovable.

The percentage of adults with acne is significantly lower than it is among teenagers. It is possible to get a blemish or have a full break-out at any age. The cause of adult acne is uncertain, but that does not mean it is not treatable. It is more common that most people may think. Teen acne is most prevalent in males, but adult acne appears more in females.

It is common to assume that acne is the result of poor hygiene, which is incorrect. There are several factors involved in the development of acne. Hormones that lead to excess skin oils, clogged pores, and irritation are all leading contributors. Frequent washing of the face could cause irritation that could result in a break-out. It is advised to limit yourself to washing twice a day and after you have been sweating.

Adult acne may be caused by hormones. If you are an adult that is getting more than the occasional pimple, bring the problem to your doctor. A hormonal adult acne treatment may be available, otherwise, they will most likely prescribe benzoyl peroxide, which is the same treatment used in teenagers. It has the greatest percentage of positive results than most other treatment available. It is a topical treatment that works to reduce the blockage of the sebaceous (oil producing) gland.

The best treatment is determined by the type of acne that you have. For women who have hormonal induced acne, oral contraceptives could be prescribed. If you have oily skin and only an occasional pimple or two, perhaps you should just try an over-the-counter topical medicine. Also, something as simple as taking a hot shower and exposing your face to the steam could clear up your skin. The steam opens up your pores to allow them to clear. Most acne is due to pores being clogged with dead skin and bacteria. Cellex-C is an over-the-counter medicine that has be proven a very effective anti-inflammatory. It is also an anti-viral and anti-bacterial antiseptic that promotes quick healing of existing pimples. This is recommended mostly for people who only experience occasional blemishes. It is preferred over benzoyl peroxide mainly because it does not cause additional irritation or redness to appear.

Acne can be depressing at any age, especially when you were expecting to be in the clear for the rest of your years. Adult acne can have a very negative effect on your overall feeling toward yourself. You may lose sight of your self-worth and hide from social situations because of something as simple to treat as acne. Stress can be the main factor in adult acne simply because of how stressful an adult life can be. Paying bills, children, work, and even relationships can factor into your stress. Stress in life is sometimes completely unavoidable, but there are different ways to deal with it. The best way to deal with stress is to find a way to relax. Exercising or stretching when things start to get hectic, or finding another stress-reliever could be very beneficial to you skin’s condition.

In a book I read by William L. Fischer called Hidden Secrets of Super Perfect Health at Any Age, Book II, 1986, I learn how to do herbal footbaths.

In chapter 10, The F-M Circulizer System, Fischer discusses the use of an herbal footbath. After reading this chapter, I realized how herbs in a footbath could improve your skin and help you eliminate acne.

This book was written in 1986 and Fischer claims herbal footbaths have been in use overseas since 1946!

Now, you can do either a footbath or a hand bath. Once you prepare a container with hot water you can put your feet or hands into it and get the same results.

If you already have foot spa, thank your mother, sister, or whoever bought it because you’re in for a treat. If you don’t, with $20 or $30 you can get one just like I did.

When you use a heated footbath, veins in your feet start to expand. Over a period of 15-20 minute, the warm water affects your entire vascular (blood) system and you get improved blood circulation.

By adding an herbal infusion into the hot water in the footbath, minerals and other phytochemicals from the herbs enter the soles of your feet and into your blood stream.

This means that you can introduce herbal phytochemicals into your blood stream using the footbath. During your footbath, these herbal chemicals quickly circulated throughout your body and get to work neutralizing acid, killing bacteria, and improving your skin circulation.

Here is an herbal combination you can use. This herbal combination was taken and modified slightly from a book written by Daniel B. Mowrey, Ph.D., called The Scientific Validation of Herbal Medicine, 1986. Mowrey says,

“This (herbal) blend attacks external skin disorders from within, purifying the blood, carrying away waste, reinforcing the blood’s ability to ward off infectious agents.”

The herbal combination to use is,

* Dandelion root – purifies blood and improves liver function

* Yellow dock root – purifies blood, helps liver, is anti-bacterial

* Saraparilla root – has antibiotic action, promotes waste elimination through urine and sweating

* Echinacea – increases immunity and promotes skin healing

* Licorice – protects the liver so that it can detoxify the blood better

* Kelp – provide minerals and vitamins and binds heavy metal that are bad for health

* Chaparral – is anti-microbial making effective against acne.

* Fresh Garlic – cut up a few cubes of garlic and place them into the hot water. Garlic is has antibacterial properties.

Buy one ounce of each herb and mix them.

Here’s how to do the herbal hand or footbath,

* Place 2-3 tablespoons of herbal mix into 1 ½ cups of water

* Boil the water with herbs – use only a glass, porcelain, or stainless steel container

* After water starts to boil, pull the container off the stove

* Let tea sit for 15-30 minutes. The longer the tea sits the stronger the tea and its effects

* Prepare your foot spa with water

* Strain the tea to remove leaves and roots

* Poor tea and cut garlic into the foot spa

* Place your feet or hands in the hot water for 15 – 30 minutes.

Use the this footbath daily for 14-21 days in the morning for getting rid of acne.

I have been using a foot spa for many different conditions for my family and myself. I really like using the footbath. It is a convenient way to by pass your digestive system and get more nutrients into your body.

Do you avoid mirrors and hide your face because of ugly acne scars? Acne is a common problem among people of all ages, especially teenagers. Perhaps your skin has cleared up and you are left with embarrassing scars that you don’t know how to get rid of. It could effect you psychologically as well as emotionally. Luckily for you, there are various treatments for acne scar removal.

The first step you should take in this process is to consult a dermatologist. Acne scar removal procedures have become very common. Remember when choosing a method of removal, consider the condition of your skin. If you have sensitive skin you should try the least abrasive procedure available. Acne scar removal is the key to regaining smooth and healthy looking skin.

Some acne scar removal options are dermabrasion, collagen injections, steroid injections, laser treatment, radiotherapy, or chemical peels. Some treatments may not completely remove all scars but the appearance of most of them will lessen dramatically. Your doctor’s recommendation toward a certain procedure depends on the type and severity of the scarring.

Dermabrasion is a procedure done under local anesthetic in which the doctor will remove the top layers of skin with a sanding instrument. It is one of the most effective treatments available for facial scar removal. It is not recommended for people with darker skin because it could reveal lighter layers of skin, which could cause another problem with your appearance.

Collagen injections are a less permanent solution to acne scars. They generally last from 3-6 months and require future injections to maintain their effect.

Steroid injections are a long term treatment for acne scar removal. The side effects of this procedure are minimal, but there is a chance that the scars will still remain visible.

Laser treatment is still in an experimental phase. The use of a vasecular laser may fade the color of scars. A carbon dioxide laser may flatten scars and resurface the skin, however this effect is not definite. This procedure is not recommended due to the uncertainty in the safety of the treatment.

Radiotherapy is a controversial treatment and is only recommended for extreme cases. It is used to prevent the reoccurrence of severe scarring. The long-term side effects, even in the small doses of this treatment, is the risk of cancer induced by radiation.

A chemical peel is a minor form of surgery that can be done by a cosmetologist. This is usually the solution to getting rid of minor scarring. A layer of skin is removed by the application of chemicals. Afterwards, a new layer of skin can form and reduce your scars.

For some people, more than one type of treatment is necessary for the best outcome. Each person’s face and skin are different and it is necessary to research these and other procedures available for you. Realistically, some people may not get rid of the appearance of scars completely.

Choosing the right dermatologist is as important as choosing your treatment. Qualifications and experience are key factors to look at. You can read about a dermatologist in any area online (www.IEnhance.com/physician). Acne scar removal can get expensive so you shouldn’t rush to give your money to just anyone. A good doctor will work closely with you to get your skin appearing as clear and smooth as possible.

Herbal Extract

Here’s an herbal extract that is designed for acne. Its main function is to improve liver function, purify the blood, reduce acne inflammation, and fight acne bacterial infections.

This herbal extract is a liquid and is taken in water or as drops into your mouth. Follow the instructions on the bottle on how to use it.

This is excellent herbal remedy and is not very expensive. If you can find it at a health food store, it should cost around $10.00. If not, then you can order on the Internet and pay around $16.00 shipping included.

Here’s how to take this herbal extract.

Take 30 – 35 drops in water three times a day. Take it for 6 days, then let your body rest and start again after the seventh day.

A word of caution: Do not use this herbal tea or extract as the sole method to get rid of acne. This has to be used in combination with the 13 steps outlined in this program.

Use these powerful herbal teas to help you eliminate acne. Once you rid yourself of acne, stop using these herbal combinations.
